At the January Council of Chiefs meeting, the CoC will vote on the patch design for conclave 2012, Testing the Bow, at Camp Yawgoog. It is important that anyone who has a patch design have it at the meeting, give it to your lodge chief to have at the meeting, or email me, mattcobb@comcast.net. You can also email me with ideas for a design if your are not capable of making one and I will try to get your ideas put into a design.

On Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Saint Brendan's School, 55 Turner Avenue, Riverside, RI, 02915. The QLS will be starting at 11:30am, the training will include four blocks, the final one being an introduction to the Journey to Excellence program,the new Quality Lodge. All Lodge advisers, officers, and committee chairs are welcome to attend. The more people who attend the more effective the training will be. The Section will provide lunch and the CoC will start at 3pm. Agendas and training offerings will be provided when available.

This past weekend the NE-1B Section Officers and Adviser went to the Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation in Schuylkill Haven, PA. We met with other advisers and officers from the other 11 sections in the Northeast Region. The Region put us through shows, training, and fun activities so that we may better serve you! Throughout the weekend we gained hours of planning, especially in our seven hour drive there! This years conclave is shaping up to be the best in NE-1B history.

The 2012 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) will be one of your most memorable Scouting experiences. NOAC 2012 will be held at Michigan State University from July 30 through August 4, 2012 and is projected to be one of the largest in the Order’s history with more than 8,000 Arrowmen in attendance.
