As the Holiday Season approaches the Section Officers wanted to take a few minutes to send out a quick update to everyone in the Section, so here goes…
QLS and COC
Reminder: Mark your calendar if you have not already done so for our annual Quality Lodge Summit (QLS) and Council of Chiefs (COC) that will be held on January 20th at thePomfret School in Pomfret, CT. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and the event will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided. The Lodge Key 3 is invited to select 5 additional Arrowmen to attend the event. Translation: Each lodge can bring a total of 8 Arrowmen to the event. If for some reason this is a problem please contact me. Directions can be found on www.pomfretschool.org
Conclave 2008
The Section Officers and Conclave Coordinator have been working hard to put together the best Conclave ever! We will have a ton of opportunities because of the location of the camp. A visit to the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory (with free samples), a clam bake, and a short whale watch are just a couple of ideas. As lodge leaders, please do everything you can to promote Conclave. The date is June 13-15 down at Camp Greenough in Yarmouth Port, MA on the Cape. And for those of you who do not already know, our theme this year is “Conclave’s a Beach.”
Lodge Chief Bios and Headshots
As stated at the October COC, we would like the lodge chief to provide us a headshot (in scout uniform) and a short bio to be posted on the section website. Here are some examples: http://www.ne1b.org/cms/page/leadership. Please email bios and headshots to myself ASAP. As of now, I have no bios or headshots from the lodge chiefs.
Section Roster
Tommy Taricano wanted to remind everyone that he is always looking for updated contact info to add to the Section Roster. The latest roster has been posted on the Yahoo group. Please take a moment to review it and send any correction/additions to Tommy via email secretary@ne1b.org.
Conclave Shows
Anyone interested in helping out with the Conclave Shows, there is going to a Shows Meeting on December 28th at 1:00 at Camp Norse, in Kingston, MA. All are welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to email Andrew Ewing (Shows CVC) @ shows@ne1b.org.
