As planned, 43 members of Section NE-1B headed down to the Pomfret School on Sunday, January 14th for a day of training, conclave planning and fellowship. Some of the cells for the youth focused on Promoting national events, parliamentary procedure, and the OAs role in Cub Scouting. The Adults had a different slate of courses ranging from Coaching from the sidelines to Motivating Our Youth.
After lunch, the conclave committees met and put together some pretty extensive plans in preparation for the COC that day. At the COC, a rough itinerary for the Conclave was put together, and a few outstanding items were voted on. Overall, the day was extremely successful and the following trainers and support staff should be thanked: Andy Collins, Dan ORourke, Gil Rogers, Greg Burke, Aaron Stockwell, Jason Dugan, Pat Boyd, and Bob Sirhal.
If you were unable to make it, talk to some of the people that went and they will tell you everything they learned. All left with arms full of support and promotional materials.
